FeltUnited in Taranaki

FeltUnited - 3rd International Day of Felt, October 1st, 2011

Felt - intertwined, bound together, forever as one - United

On 1 October 2011 felters from around the globe will join together displaying their felt by exhibiting it outside their homes and studios, wearing it, hanging it on statues, small treasures, or large installations.  You can see past exhibits at www.feltunited.com
Over the past two years felters have been working around the colour wheel this years colour scheme: Red-Purple-Blue.

How do we join?

Let's spend the day together at Eltham Presbyterian Campsite Bridger St, Eltham Taranaki ending with a shared tea there.

Make felt in blue, purple or red or any combination of those colours (felt with no more than 3% accent colours such as black or natural)
We then take photos of our work and send it to the felt united website and they will display it with all the photos sent from around the world.

We will be working alongside the Stratford Eltham Creative Fibre group's Dyeing Day so this expands the possibilities of the day.
The cost to attend will be $5 to cover camp fees and the usual for use of dyes, etc.
if you are interested in being part of this fun international event. Friends welcome, come and learn to felt too.
