I've received an enquiry from a Waikato resident wanting to know about felting groups in her area. I strongly encourage all felters or potential felters to join up with a local Creative Fibre group as they will have all the information you'll need plus experienced people to help you.
However, if YOUR group is not listed on the side bar I'd love info to post so people can find and join you. My email address is in the Editor details box.

I have been doing needle felting for more than 10 years.

Most of my creations I am selling to the Rudolf Steiner community here
in Hawkes Bay. I also give classes for children and adults here at my home.

I am writing to you today as I am wondering if anybody of your group has
heard
about "Painting with Fibres"? I have seen some beautiful pictures on the
internet,
they are all made out of wool, differrent from the needle felting technique.

As we all know as felters, we have all had the benefit of generous information sharing from others in the world wide felting community, and this is how we build on our existing knowledge and skills, and in the process develop new techniques.

Breaking News on Southern Hemisphere Felting Convergence 2015.

I have just learned from the12th Southern Hemisphere Felting Convergence Blog, that the 2015 Convergence will be held in New Zealand!

 There are no details available as yet, but I am sure they are being worked on.

Nelson basic felting course.

Dear felters (or felters-to-be),  just bringing this to your attention, especially those in the top of the Mainland, or the bottom of the North island; an introductory felting course. This will be tutored by Colleen Plank, who is the arts and media technician, and specialist textile tutor for creative industries at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology.
